Faith Within

 

FAITH WITHIN

But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out:For they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.

MARK 6: 49-50

Imagine seeing someone walking on water, what would be your thoughts?

Today I speak on having faith, first question

WHAT IS FAITH?

 Faith is the substance of  this hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.Hebrews 11:1

WHAT DOES THIS STATEMENT MEAN?

This statement should not be taken as a complete definition of faith. Instead there are two main aspects of a much broader concept.

 WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT FAITH

• Faith is grace
• We are certain of faith
• Understanding comes when faith is increased
• Faith is not opposed to any form of science
• Faith is needed for salvation to happen
• Faith is enabled by Grace
• External life begins with faith

So since we know these things about faith we can say that faith is having confidence in a person or plan and having a strong belief in the supernatural powers that control destiny.

 God can carry you through any and all things as long as you have faith.you trust and you believe in Him. 

This is exactly what happened when he called Peter out onto the water his faith was somehow there and then it disappeared when he realized he was doing something that  was impossible.

We can talk about Noah, who built an ark  for the salvation of his household. Because  of his faith in God  and obedience to him, he and his family was spared from death by the flood that God fore warned him about.

Noah described as a righteous, blameless man who walked with God is thè illustration of faith at work. This event happened in the book of Genesis 6. 

This is a figure of the old testament given to new testament christains to teach us to live by faith.

CONCLUSION

So we can see that to walk with God is how we please God. Walking by faith, making decisions based on our relationship with God. There fore trusting and believing that we can do all things because he gives us strength.

This is FAITH, knowing that there is some force more powerful than what we can see that will help us fulfill destiny. 

Christmas For Children

WHAT IS CHRISTMAS???

            To many people Christmas is about giving and receiving gifts, to others it's about celebrating the life of our Lord and savior. For some it's just a normal regular day.

God gave a gift to us that many do not appreciate, many  of us do not consider that the life we are living is not actually our own, the breath that is breathe every day is not our own, yet we can continue to live a life that is not pleasing to God.

God gave his son, that we may have life and have it more abundantly.

Many of us take for granted the things that are given to us and this is done on a daily base so much so we don't appreciate the little gestures.

The Bible speaks about giving, " Give it will be given back to you shaken together, pressed down and running over". Thats why I encourage each person that is reading this blog today don't give because you feel it's something that you have to do. Give not expecting anything in return and you shall see the blessing of the Lord.

I reflect on days when I had nothing but the little I did have I was always willing to share. Even if it meant I ended up with nothing. I can tell you that God has been so good to me in so many ways, I will never stop praising Him or worshipping Him, for God is a mighty God, He is a faithful God and  I know he will never leave me or forsake me.

LENDING A HELPING HAND

At 10 years old my mother took me to a shelter where people were bustling to get breakfast. That was the day I knew that helping people was something I wanted to do.

This year I would love to be able to give to the children of at least two or three of the shelters in the country where I live. 

           It's just a joy to see the faces of people when you are able to help them even more so children when you are able to give something to them that they have never had. I want to ask for the help of each of you if you could donate if only $0.50 just a small token that will help go towards cooking a hot Christmas meal and a small gift to a child  that has probably never experienced what it feels like to be loved or appreciated.

Let us all be our brothers keepers, let us all show love to one another, isn't that what Christ did?

Can God hear me?

BUILDING A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD 

 Sometimes you ever feel that you've lost communications with God. I do.

A question we all sometimes ask ourself

"Can God hear me"?

Guess what he can hear us loud and clear whether we speak words or just think about what we want to say to him

If we choose only to commune with God when we need something then, that's a problem eventually you will stop hearing from him.

Think about it like this

If you have a friend whom you don't really hear from only when they need something wouldn't you feel some type of way. In fact wouldn't it hurt you or make you feel like your being used?

So think about how God feels knowing he gave his son to die for us and in return we only call on him when we need him.

The fact is relationship with God is the best relationship you can have. Here are a few ways you can start building a close and meaningful  relationship with him.

How to Build a Relationship with God

Daily Prayer

The best wY to build a relationship is through communicating. Pray daily to God, not just to  ask for him to send blessings your way, sometimes just say thank you father for all you done. Ask him to help you become more like him, Pray that your walk with him becomes so strong that it cannot be broken.

Read the Scripture

Alot of us want to hear from God but don't want to take the time to read the Bible. This is important for the Bible will give you the armour you need to fight any battle. It teaches you what to do when any situation come about.

Helping to Others

Give and it shall be given back to you pressed down, shaken together and running over.

Find in your heart to help people around you, feed them, clothe them sometimes even a word of encouragement Share the word of God. It's important for people to know they are not alone despite whatever their circumstances may be.

I reflect on the man with leprosy,  Jesus did not scorn him or run him away. He healed him and he did not think twice to do it. We must all be our brothers keeper.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN BY GRACE & MERCY?

  In Christianity and some other religions, grace is the kindness that God shows to people because he loves them.

1  benevolence, charity, clemency, compassion, favour, forbearance, forgiveness, grace, kindness, leniency, pity

This blog is about the Grace and Mercy of God given to each of us although we may do things that is not pleasing in God's site, yet He still shows us love, compassion and forgiveness.

THATS WHY I LOVE MY GOD SO MUCH!

In today's society we have so many temptations and so many demons to fight against that sometimes it seems so hard to resist and we just give into it. But I can reassure you God knows our life's plan and the paths in which we decide to take even though that is not what he  has destined for us.

Here is a testimony of just encounter of God's grace and mercy for me.

   It was May 2012 and my mom had just passed away about a month prior after a long fight with cancer.  The way I was feeling at that time was undesirable. I would come home from work and just lock myself in my room and cry.

I  couldn't understand why God would take my mother who was my everything.( I started to just doubt so many things that I was taught growing up about God). I just wanted to take my life, I just didn't want to exist,

Although I had numerous encounters with people whom God use to relay messages to me it was as though nothing they said matter anymore because in my mind God failed me.

  It wasn't until early that Saturday before  Whit Monday as I slept that I heard a voice telling me anniot your head with oil, the voice just kept repeating anniot your head with oil. 

When I got up about 7 am that morning the first thing I did was get the bottle of annoyed olive oil and placed the cross on my forehead, I then proceeded  to place crosses on all the doors in my house.

Whit Monday came and I was at home doing my routine of cleaning while I waited for my fiance to call me to pick him up. When I got his call it was about 2:20 that afternoon, I stopped  what I was doing jump in my car and headed for him. In about 10 minutes of me leaving the house I got into a accident.

  The driver of a F150 truck slammed into my car after running the light, he hit the back part of my car which caused it to spin out off control flip over and ended up in aside ditch.

When the car stopped I remembered  seeing people coming running towards where my car had stopped, at that time I had a razor in my car that I was using to cut the seat belt off of me.

I claimed through the passenger door because the driver door was jammed

     I remember everyone just talking at once  and asking if I was okay. All I could say was thank you God. I had not one scratch on my body and I was more than thankful.

When the police came as he talked to me he kept telling me I was lucky and I said favored. It wasn't until riding home with my dad that he said the police told him from examming  yhe car that my gas tank was completely mashed in and he is surprise it didn't explode.

It was the I realized that the dream I had was my angel sending me a message to protect me.

OBEDIENCE is very important, if I had just brushed off what I heard as I slept today I would have probably been dead.

God's grace and mercy kept me and from that day to this I continue to tell people how wonderful, gracious, loving and patient God is.
